The range of GMAT scores varies a lot. There could be a difference of over 100 points between the minimum and maximum score. Usually, a higher than average score will get you into the safe zone easily.

That said, scoring higher than the average GMAT score doesn’t guarantee admission. Even a perfect 800 GMAT score does not ensure admission. Business school administration officers assess other aspects of your profile too
